Expect Morning Traffic Impacts Sunday, November 23, 2014 due to a 10 Minute Traffic Stoppage on I-95 Northbound and Southbound on the Pearl Harbor Memorial (Q) Bridge and Forbes Avenue (Route 1) in New Haven
The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that construction activities related to construction of the new Southbound Q Bridge are expected to cause delays throughout the I-95 New Haven Corridor the morning of Sunday, November 23, 2014. Please plan ahead and consider alternate routes to get to your destination.
Motorists traveling on I-95 or Forbes Avenue (Route 1) through New Haven should expect delays during the morning of Sunday, November 23, 2014 as a 10 minute stoppage of traffic in both directions will occur to facilitate activities related to the construction of the new Southbound Q-Bridge. CTDOT encourages safe driving throughout the I-95 New Haven Corridor and asks motorists to follow posted speed limits to maintain safe and efficient traffic flow as construction continues.
These construction activities are part of a series as work progresses on the Pearl Harbor Memorial (Q) Bridge, Reconstruction of the I-95 / I-91 / Route 34 Interchange and other projects that are part of the I-95 New Haven Harbor Crossing (NHHC) Corridor Improvement Program.
STOPPAGE INFO -
Sunday, November 23, 2014 between 11:00 AM and 11:30 AM
I-95 Northbound
10 minute stoppage will occur beginning just east of the I-91 Southbound merge. Access to the Pearl Harbor Memorial (Q) Bridge will be restricted.
I-95 Southbound
10 minute stoppage will occur beginning at the Woodward Avenue on-ramp. Access to the Pearl Harbor Memorial (Q) Bridge will be restricted.
Forbes Avenue
10 minute stoppage will occur between East Street and Stiles Street. Access to the Tomlinson Bridge will be restricted.
