Installation of Pedestrian Bridge over Washington Boulevard in the City of Stamford
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that installation of the pedestrian bridge superstructure is expected to occur the weekends of March 28, April 4, and April 11, 2014.
The project consists of installing a prefabricated pedestrian bridge over Washington Boulevard to connect the new development Gateway Garage at 406 Washington Boulevard to the Stamford Train Station Platform 4. The scheduled work will occur on the following three (3) consecutive weekends:
- 3/28/14 to 3/31/14 (install superstructure)
- 4/4/14 to 4/7/14 (glass panel installation)
- 4/11/14 to 4/14/14 (miscellaneous work)
DOT Project no. 0301-0149 was awarded to Waters Construction, of Bridgeport, CT at a cost of $2,808,899.40 on May 1, 2013, and is scheduled to be completed April 23, 2014.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Washington Boulevard between South State Street and Station Place will be closed to both vehicle and pedestrian traffic from Friday at 9:00 PM to Monday at 5:00 AM.
Vehicle Detour Signs and Pedestrian Detour Signs will be in place.
