Installation of Traffic Signals in Eastern Connecticut
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a project for the installation and revisions of traffic signals in 15 eastern Connecticut towns will begin in April 2015.
The project consists of upgrades to traffic control signals at 17 locations in the towns/cities of Bolton, Deep River, Essex, Griswold, Groton, Mansfield, Marlborough, Middletown, New London, Norwich, Pomfret, Putnam, Waterford, Westbrook and Windham. The project includes an organizational phase – now underway – and a construction phase, which will begin on April 1, 2015.
DOT Project No. 172-402/403 was awarded to Electrical Contractors Incorporated of Hartford, Connecticut at a cost of $2,360,981.60 on August 28, 2014 and is scheduled to be completed in April 2016.
