NEW HAVEN AREA MOTORIST ADVISORY - Expect Traffic Impacts Friday, June 13, 2014 as Traffic from I-95 Southbound to Route 34 Westbound is Shifted into a New Alignment on the New Bridge to Route 34 Westbound
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that construction activities related to traffic shifts on I-95 southbound to Route 34 westbound are expected to cause delays throughout the I-95 New Haven Corridor the weeknight of Friday, June 13, 2014. Please plan ahead and consider alternate routes to get to your destination.
Motorists
traveling on I-95 southbound to Route 34 westbound (Exit 47) should expect a
new alignment beginning Friday, June 13, 2014. For images and video of how the
interstate alignment will change, please visit www.i95newhaven.com. CTDOT encourages
safe driving throughout the I-95 New Haven Corridor and asks motorists to
follow posted speed limits to maintain safe and efficient traffic flow as
construction continues.

Friday,
June 13 to Saturday, June 14, 2014, 10
PM – 6 AM:
- Lane closures on Route 34 westbound between the I-95 NB / I-95 SB / I-91 SB merge and the Union Street overpass.
- Single lane closure on the I-95 southbound connector to Route 34 westbound and I-91 northbound (Exit 47/48).
11PM – 6AM:
- Single lane closure on I-95 southbound from the Woodward Avenue on-ramp (Exit 50) to Exit 48/47.
RAMP/DETOUR INFO –
10 PM – 6 AM: Closure and detour of I-95 southbound off-ramp to Route 34 westbound (Exit 47).
RAINDATE- In case of cancellation due to weather, the work will be rescheduled to Monday, June 16, 2014.
