The rain date will be 9 p.m. on Friday, July 11 through 5 a.m. on Monday July 14, 2014.
Heavy traffic delays are expected and motorists are encouraged to plan ahead and seek alternate routes. Suggested alternate routes include I-91, I-691, Route 9 and Route 72. Local detours are established for residents and businesses in the area surrounding the construction site and signs will be posted.
DOT Project No. 0131-0194/0195 was awarded to Northern Construction Service, LLC at a cost of $6,031,429.40 on June 7, 2013 and is scheduled to be completed July 2014. The project is being administered by the Department’s Office of Construction, District 1 Rocky Hill.
