Bridge Maintenance on Route 7 Southbound in Norwalk

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that bridge maintenance will be performed on five bridges on Route 7 southbound in Norwalk beginning Monday, December 14, and concluding on Wednesday, December 30, 2015. 

No work will be done on Thursday, December 24, and Thursday, December 31.

The following bridges will be affected:

·         Bridge 03566 over Connecticut Ave. 0.60

·         Bridge 03567 over Maple St. 0.73

·         Bridge 03568 over Union Park South 0.98

·         Bridge 03569 over US 1 Belden Ave. 1.18

·         Bridge 03571 over Norwalk River 1.28

·         Bridge 03573 over Rt. 123, New Cannon Ave. 1.84

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 7, SB, Exit 3, RDWY 601, Norwalk, to Interstate 95 interchange.

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday days.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
