CTfastrak East Main Street Station Mid-day Road Work, Buses Detoured

      The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a paving operation will impact the use of the CTfastrak East Main Street Station in New Britain on Thursday, December 10, 2015, weather permitting. The operation will take place during the mid-day period from 9AM to 3PM. Traffic operations on East Main Street will be maintained, but the platforms will be closed to pedestrians.

      The project consists of milling and paving along the station platform area. The purpose of the project is to better align bus doors with the height of the station platform.

SERVICE IMPACTS -

      All local buses using CTfastrak will be detoured around the station using Stanley Street, East Main Street, East Street and Smalley Street to bypass East Main Street Station. This may result in some service delays. CTfastrak passengers using East Main Street Station should visit www.cttransit.com for more information about temporary bus stop locations on East Main Street.
