Milling and Resurfacing Project along Route 178 in Windsor

      The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 178 in Windsor beginning Monday, August 24, 2015.

      The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 0.87 mile segment of Route 178 in Windsor.  The milling segment of this project is scheduled to occur on Monday and Tuesday, August 24-25, 2015.  The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to occur Thursday and Friday, September 3-4, 2015.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

      Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 178 beginning at .04 miles west of Sunnyfield Drive to Route 159 (Windsor Avenue). Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (Monday - Friday).  The resurfacing segment of this project will be 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.

      Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
