Nighttime Bridge Maintenance continues on Rt. 8 in Bridgeport

      The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime bridge maintenance project will continue on Route 8 northbound over US 1 (North Avenue) in Bridgeport through the morning of Friday, August 28, 2015.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

      Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 8 northbound between Exit 2 (LaFayette Square) and Exit 4 (Lindley Street). Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Sunday-Friday)

      Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
