Nighttime Bridge Maintenance on I-95 in Westport

      The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime bridge maintenance project will continue on I-95 in Westport through the morning of June 19, 2015.

      The project consists of Structural Steel Repairs to I-95, North & Southbound in Westport, Bridge 00066 under Hales Road.  This project is scheduled to occur the evening of Monday, May 4, 2015 to the Morning of Friday, June 19, 2015.

      This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2015 bridge maintenance program to support state forces with bridge repairs and is being performed by Hammonasset Construction.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

      Motorists can expect lane closures on I-95, in Westport between Exit 17 (Rt. 33) and Exit 18 (SSR 476).  Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 9:00 pm to 5:30 am (Monday – Friday).

      Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
