      The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime bridge maintenance project will be performed by state forces on I-95 Northbound between Exits 82 and 85 on the Gold Star Bridge in New London/Groton, September 22 – 25, 2015.

      The project consists of bridge maintenance over Pier 19 of the Gold Star Bridge (#03819) in New London/Groton between Exits 82 and 85. This project is scheduled to occur at from 8:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 22, 2015 to the morning of Friday, September 25, 2015.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

      Motorists can expect various lanes of I-95 NB to be closed between Exits 82 and 85 in

New London/Groton. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.  The night work schedule for this project is from 8:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m.  (Tuesday-Friday) The bridge maintenance and traffic control are being performed by the Department of Transportation. In the case of weather restraints the date will change to Tuesday night

September 29, 2015 and will be completed by Friday morning October 2, 2015.    

      Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
