Nighttime Milling and Resurfacing on Route 1 in Old Lyme

      The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime milling and resurfacing project will be performed on 0.76-mile section of Route 1 in Old Lyme through October 23, 2015.  Work hours are 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

      Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 1 between Route 156 (Neck Rd.) to Lyme St. in Old Lyme.  Two (2) Old Lyme policemen, one (1) traffic controller, variable message boards, and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The work schedule for the milling project is from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Wednesday-Friday).  The work schedule for the resurfacing project is from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Sunday–Friday).

      Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
