Nighttime Milling and Resurfacing Project in Rocky Hill and Cromwell
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime milling and resurfacing project is continuing on Route 3 in Rocky Hill and Cromwell and Route 160 (New Britain Avenue) in Rocky Hill and should be completed by September 15, 2015.
The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 4.36 mile segment of Route 3 in Rocky Hill and Cromwell and Route 160 in Rocky Hill. The milling segment of this project is scheduled to occur on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 to Monday, August 10, 2015. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Sunday, August 16, 2015 to Thursday, September 3, 2015 in Rocky Hill and on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 to Tuesday, September 15, 2015 in Cromwell.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 3 beginning at Route 372 to the north junctions of Route 160 (New Britain Avenue) in Cromwell and Rocky Hill. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Sunday – Thursday evenings).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
