The project consists of the milling and paving of the existing 2.71 miles of roadway from Route 154 to Route 9 North and Southbound. The two bridges within the project limits will have their bridge joints replaced as well.
The contract was awarded on November 4, 2014 to Tilcon Connecticut, Inc. of Newington, Connecticut at a cost of $1,998,651.08 and is scheduled to be completed in July 2015.
LANE CLOSURE INFO-
The traveling public should expect a lane closure between 12:00am and 6:00am, 9:00am and 3:00pm, and 6:00pm and 12:00am Monday through Friday. A lane closure may be encountered Saturday and Sundays.
May 12, 2015 - May 14, 2015: Ramp closures at Route 9 Exit 7 Northbound and Southbound will begin between the hours of 6:00 pm to 6:00 am daily. The detours will recommence the following Sunday night through Thursday night the following weeks. A detour has been established utilizing Route 154, Route 148 and Exit 6 on Route 9.
