Rotary Upgrade to Modern Roundabout on Route 188 at Route 334 and Hollbrook Road in the Town of Seymour
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that work will be starting to upgrade the existing rotary to a modern roundabout on Route 188 at Route 334 and Hollbrook Road in the Town of Seymour.
The
project consists of the modernization of the existing infrastructure including
the realignment of Route 188 Northbound and Southbound, Route 334 Westbound and
Hollbrook Road as they enter the roundabout, enlargement of the existing
traffic circle, safety improvements, drainage upgrades and complete repaving of the
entire project.
DOT
Project No. 0124-0162 was awarded to Guerrera Construction Company, Inc., at a
cost of $1,486,989.25 on 10/17/14 and is scheduled to be completed in November,
2015.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Monday – Sunday between
7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., the contractor is required to maintain one lane of
traffic in each direction on Route 188, route 334 and Hollbrook Road.
Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
