Weekend closure of Route 130 (Fairfield Avenue) in Bridgeport Scheduled for November 6 to November 9, 2015 and November 13 to November 16, 2015
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that Route 130 (Fairfield Avenue) from Commerce Drive to Railroad Avenue eastbound will be closed to traffic beginning 9 p.m. Friday and will reopen to traffic on Monday for the periods of November 6 to November 9, 2015 and November 13 to November 16, 2015, in the Town of Fairfield.
The
work is part of a project to overhaul the overhead Catenary wire system and
replace five bridges and the New Haven Rail Line between Bridgeport and
Fairfield. The
weekend closures are required for the completion of the roadway lowering and
paving operations on Fairfield Avenue.
DOT
Project No. 0015-0296 was awarded to Ducci Electrical Contractors of
Farmington, CT in April 2007 and the current schedule has the project completed
in December 2015.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Detours
will be in place to direct traffic around closure. Car traffic will be detoured
to Pine Street, Bostwick Avenue, and then to State Street. Truck traffic will
be detoured to Pine Street, Wordin Avenue, and then to State Street.
