The Connecticut Department of Transportation will alternate one-way traffic controlled by a temporary traffic signal on US Route 1 over Pattagansett River in East Lyme. The temporary configuration is necessary to facilitate construction activities on the bridge, and is expected to be in place on Friday, October 28, 2016.

The project consists of a complete bridge structure replacement, drainage improvements, and full depth roadway reconstruction.  The alternating one-way traffic will allow one lane on the bridge to remain open during the work.  Please drive cautiously and leave a safe traveling distance between your vehicle and the vehicle ahead of you.

DOT Project No. 0044-0148 was awarded to D & V Morin Construction Co., at a cost of $1,991,519.00 on June 24, 2016 and is scheduled to be completed November 14, 2017.
