Bridge Maintenance along I-91 in Wallingford

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime bridge maintenance project will continue on I-91 in Wallingford through Friday, September 9, 2016. Now work will be performed on Labor Day, September 5.

The project consists of bridge maintenance to I-91, Bridge #03127, Harrison Road underpass in Wallingford.  Work hours are 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2016 bridge maintenance program to support state forces with bridge repairs and is being performed by Hammonasset Construction.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures on Interstate 91 between Exits 13 SR 702 (Wharton Brook Connector) and Exit 14 Rt. 150, in Wallingford.  Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. (Monday through Friday).

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
