Daytime Closure and Detour of Route 110 for Ongoing Bridge work in Stratford
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that work associated with the safe removal of the Stage 1 temporary retaining systems used for the replacement of Bridge No. 02622 (Route 110 over Freeman Brook) will require the complete closure closure and detour of Route 110 in Stratford on July 25 and 26, 2016.
LANE CLOSURE and DETOUR INFO
On July 25, 2016 and July 26, 2016, all traffic on Route 110 will be detoured onto Main Street beginning at 9:00 a.m. Motorists traveling northbound on Route 110 will be detoured onto Main Street near Pecks Mill Pond and continue north on Main Street until rejoining Route 110 near the intersection of Route 15. Motorists traveling southbound on Route 110 will be detoured onto Main Street and continue south on Main Street until rejoining Route 110 near Pecks Mill Pond. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. This work is scheduled to be completed by 3:00 p.m. on both days.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
DOT Project No. 138-228 was awarded to Dayton Construction Company, Inc. of Watertown, CT on February 25, 2015 for $3,012,062.00 with an official start date of April 4, 2016, and an anticipated completion date of November, 2016.
