The work involves the installation of drainage structures and pipe along Route 4 from Garden Street to Route 10 as part of the reconstruction project of Route 4.  Motorists should expect lane shifts and lane closures and plan ahead for impacts on traffic flow through this area.

DOT Project No. 0051-0260 was awarded to Tilcon Connecticut, Inc. of New Britain, Connecticut on January 20, 2016 at a cost of $12,224,171.69 and is scheduled to be completed in June of 2018.

LANE CLOSURE INFO
There will be lane closures on Route 4, Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm with some night work hours Monday through Friday from 6:00 pm to 6:00 am and Saturday and Sunday from 6:00 pm to 10:00 am.

Special Condition: On Wednesday, May 18th a large drainage structure will be installed starting at 9:00 am and continuing through the night and is scheduled to be completed by the morning rush hour.

Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
