East Hartford - Weekend Closure of Exit 55 from I-84 Westbound to Route 2 Eastbound, Beginning Saturday Morning, September 10, 2016 and Ending on Monday Morning, September 12, 2016
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the planned weekend closure of Exit 55 from I-84 Westbound to Route 2 Eastbound, beginning September 10, 2016, weather permitting. The exit will be closed from 5:00 AM, Saturday morning to 05:00 AM, Monday morning.
The closure is necessary for the replacement of the Route 2, Bridge Number 2368A. The work is being conducted as part of the on-going $22 million bridge replacement and rehabilitation project within the Route 2 / I-84 Interchange, being performed by the Brunalli Construction Company.

To Route 2 Eastbound from I-84 Westbound: Motorists will be directed to take Exit 54 from I-84 Westbound to Route 2 Westbound to Exit 3, Right onto Darlin Street, left onto Pitkin Street and right on to Jayce Street to Route 2 Eastbound.
To Route 2 Eastbound from I-84 Westbound: Motorists will be directed to take Exit 54 from I-84 Westbound to Route 2 Westbound to Exit 3, Right onto Darlin Street, left onto Pitkin Street and right on to Jayce Street to Route 2 Eastbound.
