Five consecutive Overnight Ramp Closures Scheduled on I-91 NB Exits 22N & S, Route 9 SB Exits 20N & 20S, and Route 9 SB Exit 19 in Cromwell from July 18 to July 22, 2016
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that certain I-91 and Route 9 interchange ramps will be closed periodically on a nightly basis from 11:00 PM to 6:00 AM during the week of July 18 to July 22, 2016, to facilitate paving.
Detours will be used to complete ramp work associated with pavement preservation on Route 9 in Cromwel and I-91 / Route 9 ramps will be closed to complete crack sealing and paving work between 11:00 PM and 6:00 AM. The detours will be in effect for only one ramp at a time during the week of July 18 – July 22, 2016.
DOT Project No. 0033-0131 started on May 2, 2016 and is on schedule to be completed on October 30th, 2016. The prime contractor is Tilcon Connecticut, Inc.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
The contractor will be allowed to close certain ramps including I-91 NB Exit 22N & S, Route 9 SB Exits 20N & S, and Route 9 SB Exit 19 on a temporary basis from Monday, July 18 to Friday, July 22, 2016, nightly between 11:00 PM and 6:00 AM.
DETOUR INFO
I-91 NB Exit 22N to Route 9 NB
The on-ramp from I-91 North to Route 9 North will be detoured via I-91 NB Exit 21 off ramp, left onto Route 372 East, follow Route 372 EB to Route 9 NB on-ramp (Route 9 Interchange No. 19).
I-91 NB Exit 22N to Route 9 SB
The on-ramp from I-91 North to Route 9 North will be detoured via I-91 NB Exit 21 off ramp, left onto Route 372 East, follow Route 372 EB to Route 9 SB on-ramp (Route 9 Interchange No. 19).
The on-ramp from I-91 North to Route 9 North will be detoured via I-91 NB Exit 21 off ramp, left onto Route 372 East, follow Route 372 EB to Route 9 SB on-ramp (Route 9 Interchange No. 19).
Route 9 SB Exit 20S to I-91 SB
The on-ramp from Route 9 South to I-91 South will be detoured via Route 9 SB off ramp (Exit 19), right onto Route 372 West, follow Route 372 WB to I-91 SB on ramp from Route 372 (I-91 Interchange No. 21).
The on-ramp from Route 9 South to I-91 South will be detoured via Route 9 SB off ramp (Exit 19), right onto Route 372 West, follow Route 372 WB to I-91 SB on ramp from Route 372 (I-91 Interchange No. 21).
Route 9 SB Exit 20N to I-91 NB
The on-ramp from Route 9 South to I-91 North will be detoured via Route 9 SB off ramp (Exit 19), left onto Route 372, left onto the on ramp to Route 9 NB, then follow Route 9 NB to Exit 20N.
The on-ramp from Route 9 South to I-91 North will be detoured via Route 9 SB off ramp (Exit 19), left onto Route 372, left onto the on ramp to Route 9 NB, then follow Route 9 NB to Exit 20N.
Route 9 SB Exit 19
The on-ramp from Route 9 South exiting to Route 372 will be detoured via Route 9 SB off ramp to I-91 South, follow I-91 SB to Exit 21, left onto Route 372 East, follow Route 372 EB to Route 9 (Interchange No. 19).
The on-ramp from Route 9 South exiting to Route 372 will be detoured via Route 9 SB off ramp to I-91 South, follow I-91 SB to Exit 21, left onto Route 372 East, follow Route 372 EB to Route 9 (Interchange No. 19).
