I-95 Northbound Exit 33 Ramp Closure and Traffic Detour Scheduled in Milford and Stratford
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the closure of the Exit 33 off-ramp from northbound I-95 to Route 1 during the overnight and morning hours on December 1, into December 2, 2016, and a second night, during overnight and morning hours on December 2, into December 3, 2016.
The closure and traffic detour is necessary to complete paving and restriping of the exit, the gore area, and the deceleration ramp. Traffic will be diverted to the northbound Exit 34 off-ramp (Bridgeport Avenue) back to U.S. Rt. 1.
The closure will occur Thursday, December 1, starting at 10:00PM, to Friday, December 2, at 6:00 AM. The second closure will occur beginning Friday, December 2, from 10:00 PM, to Saturday, December 3, at 6:00 AM. Contingency date is Saturday December 3, 10:00 PM to Sunday December 4 at 6:00AM. Motorists are advised to follow the posted detour signs and observe the electronic message boards for details.
