Eastbound I-84 Traffic Shift to New Bridge over Mad River (Western Crossing), Thursday Night, September 8, 2016

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing a traffic shift on eastbound I-84 beginning on Thursday night, September 8, 2016.

Beginning Thursday night, September 8, eastbound I-84 traffic will be shifted to the outside, onto the newly constructed bridge (Bridge 1224) over the western crossing of the Mad River, east of Hamilton Avenue.

This shift will allow for construction of the northern half of the bridge.

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is working to inform local residents and motorists of current and upcoming construction activities through project newsletters, press notices, travel alerts, social media, as well as the I-84 Waterbury project website.
