Milling and Resurfacing on Route 44 (Main St.) in Hartford
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 44 (Main St.) in Hartford beginning Monday, October 24, 2016.
The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 0.20 mile segment of Route 44 (Main St.) in Hartford. The milling segment of this project is scheduled to begin at Pleasant Street and extend to Morgan Street on Monday, October 24 2016 to Wednesday, October 26, 2016. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to begin at Pleasant Street to Morgan Street on Thursday, October 27, 2016 and Friday, October 28, 2016 with a rain date of Saturday, October 29, 2016.
This work is being performed by Centerplan.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures with alternating traffic on Route 44 (Main St.) between Pleasant Street and Morgan Street. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for the milling will be 7:00 p.m. to
5:00 a.m. (Monday-Wednesday) and resurfacing will be 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. (Thursday and Friday).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
