The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that the routing from I-95 Southbound to Ella T. Grasso Boulevard (Route 10) via the Exit 44 off-ramp is scheduled to be changed on Friday night, July 29, 2016, in New Haven and West Haven.

Roadway work is being performed is to complete the new routing from I-95 Southbound to Ella T. Grasso Boulevard (Route 10) via the Exit 44 off-ramp.  Preparatory work for the new ramp opening requires that the existing I-95 SB Exit 44 off-ramp to Ella T. Grasso Boulevard be closed from 11:00 p.m. Friday night, July 29, 2016, to 7:00 a.m. Saturday morning, July 30, 2016.  The new permanent ramp geometry will eliminate the existing temporary configuration for traffic.

This work is a part of the Replacement of the I-95 Bridge over the West River, CTDOT Project No. 0092-0522. 

The existing I-95 SB Exit 44 off-ramp to Ella T. Grasso Boulevard will be closed from 11:00 p.m. Friday night, July 29, 2016, to 7:00 a.m. Saturday morning, July 30, 2016.

I-95 Southbound Exit 44 off-ramp:  Traffic will be diverted to I-95 Southbound Exit 43 to 1st Avenue and then to the I-95 Northbound Exit 44 off-ramp to Ella T. Grasso Boulevard.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
