Nighttime Bridge Maintenance on I-91 in Wallingford

      The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime bridge maintenance project will be performed on I-91 northbound in Wallingford beginning Thursday, July 28, 2016.

      The work consists of bridge maintenance on I-91 northbound Bridge #03126 (Exit 13) in Wallingford. This work is scheduled to occur from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Thursday, July 28, 2016, to the morning of Friday, August 12, 2016.

      This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2016 bridge maintenance program to support state forces with bridge repairs and is being performed by Costello Industries.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

      Motorists can expect lane closures on I-91 NB between Exit 12 (US 5) and Exit 14 (Rt. 150) in Wallingford. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. (Sunday through Thursday evenings).

      Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
