Nighttime Bridge Maintenance on I-95 in Bridgeport and Stratford

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that nighttime bridge maintenance will continue to be performed on the following bridges on I-95 in Bridgeport and Stratford through Friday, September 30, 2016. No work will be performed on Labor Day, September 5. 

Hours of work are 9 pm to 5 am.

·         Bridgeport  Bridge 00114  over Pembroke Street

·         Bridgeport  Bridge 00115  over local roads & Yellow Mill Channel

·         Bridgeport  Bridge 00118  over Beardsley Street

·         Bridgeport  Bridge 00119  over Newfield Avenue

·         Bridgeport  Bridge 00120  over Central Avenue

·         Bridgeport  Bridge 00121  over Union Avenue

·         Bridgeport  Bridge 00122  over Rt. 113 (Hollister Avenue)

·         Stratford     Bridge 02573  over Johnsons Creek

This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2016 bridge maintenance program and is being supported by Costello Industries.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures on I-95 Northbound and Southbound between Exit 27 Southbound

(Lafayette Blvd.) & Exit 28 Northbound (Rt. 127, East Main Street) in Bridgeport to Exit 32 Southbound (Linden Avenue) & Exit 33 Northbound (Rt.130) in Stratford.

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Sunday through Thursday evenings).

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
