Nighttime Bridge Maintenance on I-95 in East Haven

      The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime bridge maintenance project will be performed on I-95 in East Haven, beginning Monday, June 27, 2016.

      The project consists of maintenance to Bridge 000181 – the US Rt. 1, and Amtrak Railroad overpass in East Haven. This project is scheduled to occur from 9:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Monday, June 27, 2016 through the morning of Friday, July 29, 2016.

      No work will be performed on Friday, July 1, 2016 to Tuesday, July 5, 2016.

      This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2016 bridge maintenance program to support state forces with bridge repairs and is being performed by Hammonasset Construction.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

      Motorists can expect lane closures on I-95, East Haven, between Exits 51 (US Rt. 1), and Exit 53 (SR794).  Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 9:00pm to 5:30am (Monday – Friday).

      Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
