Nighttime Bridge Maintenance on I-95 in Westport

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime bridge maintenance project will continue on I-95 northbound through Friday, October 21, 2016.

The project consists of bridge maintenance on I-95 on the right shoulder of Bridge #00072, (Sasco Creek Rd. Underpass).

This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2016 bridge maintenance program to support state forces with bridge repairs and is being performed by Hammonasset Construction.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures on I-95, Westport, between Exit 18 (SSR 478 Sherwood Island Connector) and Exit 19 (Center Street).  Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00. p.m. & 9:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. (Monday–Friday)

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
