Nighttime Guiderail Installation along I-84 in Middlebury and Waterbury

   The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime guiderail installation project will be performed on I-84 westbound in Middlebury and Waterbury, beginning Monday, August 1, 2016.

   The project consists of the installation of guiderail on a 3.60 mile segment of I-84 between Exits 16 and 19 in Middlebury and Waterbury. This project is scheduled to occur from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Monday, August 1, 2016 to the morning of Monday, October 31, 2016. 

LANE CLOSURE INFO

   Motorists can expect lane closures on I-84 West between Chase Parkway and Long Meadow Rd.  Impact attenuators and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Sunday-Thursday)   

   Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
