Nighttime Installation of Rumble Strips on Route 40 in North Haven and Hamden and I-91 in Wallingford

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime installation of rumble strips project will be performed on Route 40 in North Haven and Hamden and I-91 southbound in Wallingford, beginning Sunday, October 23, 2016.

Work is scheduled to occur from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Sunday, October 23, 2016 to the morning of Monday, October 24, 2016.

This work is being performed by Costello Industries, Inc.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 40 NB and SB from NB-BGN Hartford Turnpike to Route 10 (Whitney Ave.) and on I-91 SB from the Meriden Town Line to .34 mile south of the New Rock Road underpass (Bridge #03130).  Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
