Nighttime Installation of Rumble Strips on Rt. 8 & I-95 in Bridgeport and Stratford

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that nighttime installation of rumble strips projects will be performed on Route 8 northbound in Bridgeport and I-95 northbound and southbound in Bridgeport and Stratford, beginning Monday, October 24, 2016.

Work is scheduled to occur from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Monday, October 24, 2016 to the morning of Tuesday, October 25, 2016.

This work is being performed by Costello Industries, Inc.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures on Rt. 8 NB from I-95 NB to .03 mile south of the beginning of  Bridge #03761  (Lindley St.) overpass and on I-95 NB & SB from the end of Bridge #0113 (Bridgeport Harbor\Local Roads\Metro-North RR) overpass to the end of Bridge #0130 (Church St.) overpass.  Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
