Nighttime Milling and Resurfacing along Route 5 (South Colony St.) in Wallingford
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 5 (South Colony St.) in Wallingford, beginning Tuesday, September 6, 2016.
The project consists of milling and resurfacing 1.05 miles of Route 5 (South Colony St.) in Wallingford. This project is scheduled to occur Tuesday, September 6, 2016 to Thursday, September 15, 2016. The milling segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 through Thursday, September 8, 2016. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Sunday, September 11, 2016 through Thursday, September 15, 2016.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 5 (South Colony St.) from Ward Street to North Street. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Sunday night through Thursday morning).
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
