             Nighttime Milling and Resurfacing along Route 8 in Bridgeport

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 8 northbound in Bridgeport, Sunday, September 25 through Wednesday, October 18, 2016.

The project consists of milling and resurfacing 2.13 miles of Route 8.  The milling segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Sunday, September 25 through Wednesday, October 5.  The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Wednesday, October 5 through Tuesday, October 18.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 8 northbound from I-95 northbound to .03 mile south of the beginning of the overpass of Bridge No. 03761 (Lindley Street). Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Sunday night through Friday morning)

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
