Nighttime Milling and Resurfacing on Route 44 in Canton and Simsbury

   The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 44 in Canton and Simsbury through August 16, 2016.

   The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 3.52 mile segment of Route 44 in of Canton and Simsbury.  Work hours are 7:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., Sunday through Thursday.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

   Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 44 between Route 179 and Route 167. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.

   Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
