                   Nighttime Milling and Resurfacing Project on Route 123

                                      (New Canaan Ave.) in Norwalk

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 123 (New Canaan Ave.) in Norwalk, beginning Sunday, October 9, 2016.

The project consists of milling and resurfacing the 1.64 miles of Route 123 (New Canaan Ave.) in Norwalk.  This project is scheduled to occur Sunday, October 9, 2016 through Monday, October 31, 2016.  The milling segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Sunday, October 9, 2016 through Thursday, October 13, 2016.  The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 through Monday, October 31, 2016.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 123 (New Canaan Ave.) from SR 809 (Riverside Ave.) to the New Canaan Town Line.  Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 7:30 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (Sunday through Thursday)

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
