Nighttime Paving Operation, I-95 NB, East Lyme/Waterford Town Line (Detour Necessary)
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime paving operation will be performed on I-95 NB at the East Lyme/Waterford Town Line, beginning Tuesday, July 5, 2016.
The project consists of paving a 0.45 mile segment of I-95 NB at the East Lyme/Waterford Town Line. The project is scheduled to occur from 9:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2016, to the morning of Wednesday, July 6, 2016. The rain date for the detour will be on Wednesday, July 6, 2016, into Thursday, July 7, 2016.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
The following detour will be implemented while work is being performed on the left lane of I-95 NB at the East Lyme/Waterford Town Line: I-95 motorists seeking to use the I-395 NB on-ramp will be directed further north on I-95 NB to the Exit 82 off-ramp. At the end of the Exit 82 off-ramp, motorists will be directed to take a left onto Route 85 northbound for approximately three miles to the I-395 NB on-ramp for re-entry. Two State Troopers, crash attenuator vehicles, overhead and variable message boards, detour signs, and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the detour. The nighttime detour schedule will be from 9:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
