Nighttime Rumble Strip Installation along I-84 in Waterbury and Middlebury

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a nighttime rumble strip project will be performed on I-84 westbound in Waterbury and Middlebury, beginning Monday October 17, 2016.

The project consists of rumble strip installation on I-84 WB in Waterbury and Middlebury from the Rt. 8 Interchange to Longmeadow Rd from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.  Monday, October 17, to the morning of Tuesday, October 18, 2016.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures on I-84 WB in Waterbury and Middlebury from the Route 8 Interchange to Longmeadow Rd.  Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
