Nighttime Street Sweeping along I-84 in Newtown, Brookfield, Bethel & Danbury

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing a nighttime street sweeping project will be performed on I-84 in Newtown, Danbury, Bethel and Brookfield, beginning Thursday, September 1, 2016.

The project consists of street sweeping on I-84 from Exit 9 to the New York State Line.  This project is scheduled to occur from 8:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. Thursday, September 1, 2016 to the morning of Friday, September 2, 2016.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Impact Attenuators, signing patterns, and cones will be utilized to guide motorists through the worksite.  Traffic will be alternating from left lane to right lane. 

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
