Overnight Closure of I-95 Southbound Exit 44 Off-Ramp Scheduled for Thursday Night, January 7 to Friday morning, January 8, in New Haven and West Haven
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the overnight closure of the I-95 southbound Exit 44 off-ramp from Thursday, January 7, at 10 PM to Friday morning, January 8, 2016, at 6 AM. The closure is necessary to facilitate the installation of a new impact attenuation system at the I-95 southbound traffic split prior to the Howard Avenue Bridge.
A detour route for traffic trying to exit
I-95 southbound at this location has been established. Traffic will be diverted to I-95 southbound
Exit 43 (1st Avenue) and then to the I-95 northbound Exit 44 off-ramp to Ella
T. Grasso Boulevard.
Motorists can expect lane closures on I-95 southbound
between Exit 46 (Sargent Drive) in New Haven and Exit 42 (Route 162) in West Haven. Traffic control personnel and signing
patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.
