Overnight Closures of I-84 Westbound Ramps in Hartford (Sisson Avenue) for Night Work
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the overnight closure of the Exit 46 off-ramp (Sisson Avenue I-84 westbound) along with the on-ramp from Sisson Avenue to I-84 westbound, beginning on April 4, 2016, between the hours of 9 PM and 6 AM. The closures are scheduled to end by April 15, 2016.
As part of the ongoing rehabilitation of Bridges 03399D and 03402A, the closures are necessary to facilitate the milling and paving of the driving surfaces as well as removal and replacement of the existing bridge joints.
DOT Project No. 63–695 started on July 13, 2015 and is on schedule to be completed on August 17, 2016. The prime contractor is Mohawk Northeast Inc.

I-84 westbound off-ramp to Sisson Avenue: Exit 46 Sisson Avenue will be detoured to Exit 44. Traffic will be detoured from Kane Street to Sisson Avenue.
Sisson Avenue on-ramp to I-84 westbound: The on-ramp from Sisson Avenue to I-84 westbound will be detoured from Sisson Avenue to Kane Street, to the on-ramp for I-84 westbound.
