Overnight Detours for Kimberly Avenue March 15 & 16 for Replacement of I-95 Bridge over West River in New Haven and West Haven
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that traffic on Kimberly Avenue in the vicinity of the I-95 overpass will be detoured for two nights Tuesday, March 15, 2016, and Wednesday, March 16, 2016 in the town of New Haven.
The work includes the installation of advance warning signs and detour signs as well as the erection and splicing of Stage 2 steel girders over Kimberly Avenue. A detour route for Kimberly Avenue through traffic at this location has been established. Traffic will be diverted around the work area via Ella T. Grasso Boulevard.
DOT Project No. 0092-0522 was awarded on November 12, 2013 to The Middlesex Corporation of Littleton, MA at a cost of $129,773,454.00 and is scheduled to be completed in November 2018. This project is administered by the Office of Construction – District 3A, New Haven.
DETOUR INFO –
A temporary detour on Kimberly Avenue in the vicinity of the I-95 overpass, New Haven, is scheduled to start at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 15, 2106, to 6:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 and again from 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 16, 2016, to 6:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 17, 2016.
