Pavement Preservation Project to Begin on Route 3 in Wethersfield and Glastonbury
Beginning on or about July 17, 2016, in association with the Route 3 pavement preservation project, motorists should expect nighttime ramp closures on Route 2 and Route 3 in Glastonbury and Wethersfield.
The following ramps may be closed to complete bridge joint work and catch basin repairs / replacements / adjustments:
- Route 2 WB Exit 5D off ramp
- Route 3 NB off ramp to Route 2 EB
- Route 3 NB off ramp to Route 2 WB
Message boards will be utilized 24 hours prior to closing to inform motorists.
DOT Project No. 0159-0192, was awarded to American Industries, Inc. of Jewett City, CT on April 21, 2016 at a cost of $4,350,000.00 and is scheduled to be completed in November 2016.
Lane Closure Information
Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 3 between the hours of 7 PM and 6 AM, Sunday through Friday. Ramps less than 30 feet in width may be closed temporarily. Daytime operations and lane closures if any will be between 9 AM and 4 PM.
