The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that phase 1 work on I-95 Northbound between exit 23 and exit 25 is scheduled to begin on July 18, 2016. 

The project involves milling, concrete bridge deck repairs, and paving the section of I-95 Northbound between the New England Avenue overpass (Bridge 00092) and Coolidge Street overpass (Bridge 00096) for this construction season.  Work will also include milling and paving of on-ramps and off-ramps and repair of existing concrete bridge decks.  Detour routes will be established with proper signage to guide motorists during overnight ramp closures for construction activities.

DOT Project No. 0050-0219 was awarded to Waters Construction Co., Inc of Bridgeport CT on June 3, 2016 at a cost of $14,462,816.25 and is scheduled for completion on November 14, 2017. The project is being administered by the Office of Construction – District 3 in New Haven.

Tuesday and Wednesday between 9:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
Thursday and Friday between 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.
Saturday between 9:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m.
Sunday between 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.

Monday through Sunday between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.

The contractor will be allowed to temporarily close I-95 ramps and detour traffic.  Additional notice will be given prior to any ramp closures.
