Rehabilitation of Bridge Number 04048, Wall Street over Metro North Railroad in Norwalk
The project will be constructed from May 4, 2016, to November, 2016. Night work will be utilized to facilitate traffic flow on the Metro North Railroad line, below. During construction pedestrian access will be maintained and detour routes will be signed. Some metered parking will be temporarily removed from service and use of the Yankee Doodle Garage is encouraged.
Project No. 102-333 was awarded to Mohawk Northeast, Inc., of Plainville, CT at a cost of $1,477,369.00 on March 21, 2016. Construction is scheduled for completion in November of 2016.

Temporary lane closures on Wall Street & River Street will occur week days between 9 AM & 3 PM.

Two detours will be required in the near future. The first detour period lasting seventy (70) days will limit Wall Street to eastbound traffic, only. The second detour period will last seven (7) days and will be a complete closure of Wall Street between River and Mechanic Streets. Additional press releases will be issued prior to implementing detours.
