Weekend Closure of Exit 55 from I-84 Westbound to Route 2 Eastbound Beginning Friday Night, February 5th, 2016, and Ending on Monday Morning, February 8th, 2016
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the planned weekend closure of Exit 55 from I-84 Westbound to Route 2 Eastbound, beginning February 5, 2016, weather permitting. The Exit will be closed from 10:00 PM Friday Evening to 05:00 AM Monday Morning.
The closure is necessary for the replacement of the Route 2, Bridge Number 2368A. The work is being conducted as part of the on-going $22 million bridge replacement and rehabilitation project within the Route 2 / I-84 Interchange.
DETOUR INFO:
To Route 2 Eastbound from I-84 Westbound: Motorists will be directed to take Exit 54 from I-84 Westbound to Route 2 Westbound to Exit 3, Right onto Darlin Street, left onto Pitkin Street and right on to Jayce Street to Route 2 Eastbound.
To Route 2 Eastbound from I-84 Westbound: Motorists will be directed to take Exit 54 from I-84 Westbound to Route 2 Westbound to Exit 3, Right onto Darlin Street, left onto Pitkin Street and right on to Jayce Street to Route 2 Eastbound.
