The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing the weekend closure of Route 172 in Southbury for the replacement of Bridge 06815 which carries Route 172 over an unnamed Brook. The closure will occur on August 5, from 8 PM, to August 8, at 5 AM.

This project is located on route 172 just south of Hollow Swamp Road.

DOT Project No. 0130-0179 was awarded to Dayton Construction Company, Inc. at a cost of $727,940.15 on March 3, 2016 and is scheduled to be completed September 2016.

Route 172: Follow posted detour using South Main Street, Route 6, and Route 67.
