The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that work will begin on beam end repairs and bearing replacement on eight bridges beginning on April 1, 2017.

DOT Project No. 0172-0446 was awarded to The Hartland Building & Restoration Inc. at a cost of $5,771,536.00 on January 24, 2017 and is scheduled to be completed October 3, 2017.

LANE CLOSURE INFO
Temporary lane closures will occur on I-395 in Norwich (Occum), Route 2 in Bozrah, Route 2 in Norwich, Route 32 in Norwich and I-95 in Stonington. Temporary lane closures may necessitate alternating one-way traffic.  Motorists can expect traffic impacts during allowable work hours.  Allowable work hours are as follows:

I-395, Route 97, Norwich (Occum)
Monday-Friday
12:00 am to 6:00 am
9:00 am to 3:00 pm
6:00 pm to 12:00 am
On Friday 2 lanes will be open from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm and from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm

On Saturday 2 lanes will be open from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm
On Sunday 2 lanes will be open from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm
