Bridge Maintenance along Route 1 (Boston Post Rd.) in Milford

The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a bridge maintenance project will be performed on Route 1 (Boston Post Rd.) in Milford, beginning Monday, July 10, through Friday, July 14, 2017. Lane closures will be required.

The work consists of bridge maintenance on Rte. 1 (Boston Post Rd.) in Milford on Bridge #00327 (Devon Drawbridge, Housatonic River Overpass) Monday, July 10, 2017 to Friday, July 14, 2017.

This project is included in the Department of Transportation’s 2017 bridge maintenance program to support state forces with bridge repairs and is being performed by Dynamic Surface Applications.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures on Rte. 1 (Boston Post Rd.) in Milford and Stratford across the Housatonic River.  Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.  The regular work schedule for this project is from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. (Monday-Friday)

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this vicinity.
